Dr Vishal Chand
Dr Vishal graduated with his medical degree in 2014 from Griffith University and undertook physician training, working in hospitals across Ipswich, Mater and the QEII. Prior to medical school Vishal worked in management roles in various food manufacturing industries having gained qualifications in Science followed by Masters in Technology and Innovation management.
Given his easy-going persona Vishal connects well with his patients from all different backgrounds and age groups. He endeavours to provide a holistic and continued care for his patients and their families. Vishal has an interest in all aspects of general practice including baby checks, child and adolescent health, women’s health, antenatal care, sexual health and general medicine. He particularly loves the challenges of multiple chronic medical conditions, skin checks with medical and surgical management, and musculoskeletal medicine. In addition, he combines his background in metabolic biochemistry effectively with his clinical practice to help patients with weight management. He is bilingual and is fluent in English and Hindi.
Outside of work Vishal really enjoys spending time with his family and close friends. He fancies himself as a foodie and endeavours to try almost all dishes at least once. He secretly believes he is a coffee connoisseur and you will often find him on a coffee trail. Vishal does martial arts and enjoys most sports with his true sporting passion in soccer and cricket.
